2026 What's coming next?

This past year, Castle & Quill Travels stepped out of a dream and into the world.

There’s a certain kind of magic in beginnings, the quiet kind that don’t announce themselves with fireworks, but instead show up as late nights, half-finished notes, and a heart that knows it’s onto something even when the path is still unclear.

I built this business from the ground up, each idea or dream a step in the right direction, though a few steps back here and there, which I am choosing to see as learning and growth as opposed to setbacks, I’m told this is healthy, though equal parts frustrating and overwhelming, as I tend to try to accomplish everything all at once. Which I’m told is not healthy.. baby steps I guess.  I’ve tried many styles and ideas and as 2026 starts, I continue to pour endless hours into learning, connecting with suppliers and creating a website that feels like home.  Writing down my dreams as goals and getting that little thrill when I can cross something off the list.  All that to say a whole bunch of what I consider amazing and fun things are coming soon, or at least by the end of the year.  Hopefully sooner, (I’m allowed to dream big).

Exciting chapters coming soon.

1.      A travel club and travel with me opportunities.

Dates and locations are still being kept under wraps, as we work out the details and obviously, they may change.  However, these trips are being thoughtfully crafted for travelers who crave connection, curiosity, and a bit of wonder. Shared meals, meaningful moments, private reflection and destinations that feel like they were pulled straight from, well from Instagram I guess... I was going to say novel, but I suppose it depends on your point of view. Maybe you’re a solo traveler who occasionally doesn’t want to travel alone, or someone who simply wants a beautifully planned adventure with like-minded souls, these trips are for you.

2.       Reading retreat

This fall brings something especially close to my heart.   A Reading Retreat with full spooky-gal energy. Picture this, crisp autumn air, cozy corners, beautiful surroundings, stacks of books, slow mornings, and evenings full of fun activities and art. This retreat is for all of those who wish to spend a few days with time to do nothing but read, snack, maybe make some art and take quite walks.  Spend some quality time with new and old friends (and books).  Love to read? Watch endless video’s on “booktok”?  Did you say yes? Then, this one is for you.

3.      One Trip a Month

Over the next year, I’ll be traveling once a month, sometimes near, sometimes far. I mean clearly these are for me, because duh I love to travel, it is after all why I became a travel agent.  But it’s not purely selfish reasons. I expect these journeys to be part inspiration, part research, and part love letter to future travelers. I’ll be exploring destinations, staying in unique accommodations, meeting local guides, and scouting locations for upcoming surprise trips (yes, those are exactly as fun as they sound, and you should totally hire me to plan one for you).  Every trip helps build better itineraries, deepens connections with suppliers and tour guides, which ultimately make me better at planning the perfect trip for you.

Castle & Quill Travels exists because of a belief that travel can be more than a checklist. It can be a story. A turning point. A chapter you didn’t know you needed.  That is all after all how it all started. My first solo travel experience was a test for me, to prove to myself that I could jump out of my comfort zone, to have adventures and believe in myself.  I desperately needed that at the time. In a world that often seems out of control and rather depressing, I believe that it’s more necessary now than ever to let our curiosity out to play, to see the good in the world and stand in awe of our natural surroundings.

If you’ve followed along this past year, cheered quietly, shared a post, asked a question, or trusted me with your travel dreams.  Thank you. The road ahead is unfolding beautifully, and I cannot wait to travel it, with you.
